There are three distilleries to check out when visiting Northern Kentucky: Old Pogue, Boone County, and New Riff. The bourbon conference is a one-day affair that takes place Saturday, October 5 from 8:30pm-4pm at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. There will be keynotes, speakers, panels and workshops with an emphasis on storytelling. Click here to see a list of speakers.

This free music festival is located at 202 Madison Avenue next to the NKY Convention Center and RiverCenter. Friday, October 4 from 4pm-10pm is cover band night. A regional favorite - The Rusty Griswolds - headlines. Saturday, October 5 from noon-10pm is all original music with Hayseed Dixie headlining. Enjoy food from Chowhounds, Good Guyz and Turkeys R Us. And yes, there will be bourbon.

Inhailer Radio kicks of Friday, October 4 at 4pm with a live broadcast. DJ Drowsy takes it up a notch at 9pm and keeps the music going until 1am. Inhailer will be back the next day at noon to broadcast live from Roebling Point. DJ ETrayn takes over at 9pm on Saturday and will have you dancing until 1am.

Grab a hand-rolled cigar from Kentucky Gentleman Cigars while your at it. If you're hungry, there is plenty to eat in the market - Great Crabcakes and Turkeys R Us - or at the nearby restaurants.
